Armed Citizen® Today A homeowner in Des Moines, Iowa, heard a woman screaming in their backyard around 11 p.m. on Feb. 28, followed by someone banging on the back door. When the homeowner investigated, a woman allegedly forced her way into the home and began assaulting the homeowner. The homeowner apparently tried to fend off the woman while calling 911, but the confrontation ultimately ended with the resident shooting the intruder, striking her multiple times.
